The tadpoles in the pond continue to keep a low profile. The pond frogs haven't called for ages. Also notable, we had no frog-based-forewarning of 2mm of rain over the weekend, so they are not infallible weather indicators!

It is interesting that the tadpoles we have on the back verandah come to the surface regularly for air, whereas there is no sign of that happening in the pond, or if it is happening it must be pretty subtle.

We are currently adding water to the pond weekly - it drops about 10cm - and will have to resurrect the float valve for the summer. The water ribbons are dropping seed pods into the water and the rushes are flowering.
