Our relaxed, dry existance on the farm at Manangatang has been transformed since winter 2008. BCG's Jon Starks and Jodie Odgers installed a wildlife pond in late 2007, and at the same time we started running grey water overflow into a nearby dam. There was already quite a bit of 'life' around the pond (and in the dam) but when it rained properly in winter the frogs rehydrated and have been entertaining us ever since.
