June 16. Some insects on the surface of the pond, including some interesting red mites that appeared to be sheparding the other 'bugs' around. If anybody recognises these, please let me know (ben@malleefocus.com.au)

September 16. Small translucent snails spotted while trying to photograph tadpoles. These have been having a great feed on the pond plants. September 19. We often find geckos under bits of wood and have heard one barking during Jon's night-time surveys. This one was on the back verandah.
Pond snail browsing Gecko from the scrub
October 4. A pond snail browsing on pond weed. There are heaps of these in the pond at the moment. June 7, 2007. Jon found this gecko under a bit of corrugated iron, in the scrub behind the dams.
